Chuck Brown

A native of Rhode Island, and lifelong sailor, Chuck Brown partnered with Mike Brady and Peter Eagan to form the Newport Rigging Group in 2020.

Chuck has been focusing on the maintenance and optimization of large yacht rigs and sail handling systems since 2004 when he joined Southern Spars to develop their rig service division.

Chuck left his family-owned business in 1999 after he was offered a position as a sailor and mast & rigging manager for Dennis Conner’s Stars & Stripes America’s Cup team. Chuck continued this role in 2001-2003 in San Diego, CA and Auckland, NZ.

Still an avid sailor, Chuck participates in many J-Class & superyacht events around the world and races his VX One sport boat in the US.

Peter Eagan

Born in Buffalo, NY on the Great Lakes, Peter began sailing at an early age and continues to enjoy sailing today. Peter honed his rigging skills with seven years at Hall Spars and Rigging, where he worked as a commissioning and service technician.
